Fox & Obel Website
Torque
designed fox-obel.com with
rich color
and patterns,
giving it a timeless, modern feel that celebrates the sensuality
of the food. The site features portraits and biographies of
the head chefs, and presents information about cooking classes
and other community events. The site offers select gift items
for purchase and online class registration.
Launched in time for their gourmet oatmeal cookies to be featured on Oprah, the new site received orders in its first month totaling in the six figures. Sales traffic threatened to overwhelm the site's capacity, and Fox followed our recommendation to move the site to a robust Internet hosting service. Web site sales vastly outpaced phone orders, proving our belief that the Web has matured into a primary sales channel for American consumers.
Fox & Obel demonstrates Web-centric marketing in action: it shows that a company's web presence is its first and most important point of promoting the brand—even when transactions primarily occur in a physical store.
